“Crossroads of America”
RV Hall of Fame Museum and Grand Design Factory Tour
It wasn’t in the original plan to visit Northern Indiana, but Ben had the good idea to take detour here to visit the birthplace of our Grand Design RV and do a tour to see how it was built. We also decided to check out the rest of the area since we were there for a few days and get a few parts that we needed for the rig.
Turkey Run State Park
A bit of a change from the pace of city life, we headed back into the country to a state park in Indiana known as Turkey Run. We seem to be leaving each place just as the leaves are starting to turn. Fall is chasing us down the country, but not quite catching up yet.
Churchill Downs, Toyota, Lincoln Boyhood Home, & Santa Claus
Churchill Downs – where people go to enjoy watching horses race, placing their bets, and wearing their favorite stylish hats.
There wasn’t a race the day we went, so we just took the tour instead. They have a museum where you can learn about the Kentucky Derby and the world’s fastest race horse, Secretariat.
